Returns & Refunds

At The Indian Superstore, we are committed to provide excellent customer service. And so, we have provided the following information to help and assist you.

General Rules 

-          Our policy lasts 60 days. If 60 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.

-          To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received. You will have to return the item along with any all accessories and freebies that came with the item. It must also be in the original packaging and all tags must remain attached.

-          Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. Perishable goods such as food, flowers, newspapers or magazines cannot be returned. We also do not accept products that are intimate or sanitary goods, hazardous materials, or flammable liquids or gases.

-          Additional non-returnable items:

  • Gift cards
  • Downloadable software products
  • Some health and personal care items

-          To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

-          Since items are sold by us, please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.

-          There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted: (if applicable)

  • Book with obvious signs of use
  • CD, DVD, VHS tape, software, video game, cassette tape, vinyl record, cosmetics, herbal supplements, etc that has been opened.
  • Any item that is not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.
  • Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery

-          Refunds (if applicable)

  • Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
  • If the item is not in its original condition or if the packaging is damaged, we reserve the right to refuse a refund or exchange. We may then return the item back to you at your expense. You will be notified of this and any other associated charges. We will not be responsible for losses or damage during the returns process.
  • If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days depending on your mode of payment.
  • In any case, refund cannot be issued after 60 days of original transaction. Hence, any issue must be reported prior to this day.

-          Sale items (if applicable)

  • Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded.

-          Exchanges (if applicable)

  • We only replace items if they are defective or damaged.  If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at support@theindiansuperstore.com and send your item to:

-          Shipping

  • To return your product, you should mail your product to:

-          Unless otherwise specified or agreed, you will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

-          Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary. We do not guarantee that the exchanged item will be delivered at the same speed as the original shipment.

-          If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a traceable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item. We recommend that you use a traceable postal service that insures you for the value of the goods you are returning. The goods are the customer’s responsibility until they arrive at our premises. Please make sure that you package your return carefully to prevent any damage to the item or its packaging. We aim to process all refunds and exchanges as soon as the goods are received.

 

Return / Exchange Procedures

 

-          Returning Unwanted Products

Please Note : This policy does not apply to undergarments, tailored dresses & customized items. 

To arrange the return of an unwanted item, please send us a message via the 'Contact Us' page on this website along with your Order Number and clearly mentioning the reason for returns. As we do not offer a free returns service, the return postage costs are the responsibility of the customer of unwanted items.

The customer must contact us within 7 days of receipt of the goods. The item must then be returned within 14 days of receipt at the customer’s cost for a refund of that item or to exchange it for a different item. We will not accept returns or exchanges after this period. We will then issue a refund for the price of the item excluding postage charges incurred by us and a re-stocking fee of $1.25.

Please return the item and the original dispatch note, clearly indicating the reason for return and whether you require an exchange or refund. If you have mislaid the original dispatch note, please include a covering letter with your name and full address together with your requirements.

 

-          Returning Faulty Products

In the unlikely event that you receive a faulty or damaged item, please send us a message via the 'Contact Us' form on this website within 14 days of delivery. Minor manufacture blemishes or dirt marks in the material are not qualified for returns as defective items. We will also be happy to refund the purchase price in full only if the return results from an error made by us by delivering the incorrect product other than the one ordered by you.

Please return the item and the original dispatch note, clearly indicating the fault. If you have mislaid the original dispatch note, please include a covering letter with your name and full address.

 

Items NOT Eligible for Exchange - Please note that in the interests of health and hygiene items such as undergarments cannot be returned unless they are faulty.

IMPORTANT: Please contact us before returning an item. Goods must not be returned without prior agreement from The Indian Superstore. ALL ITEMS MUST BE RETURNED TO OUR LOCATION IN INDIA.

 

Cancelling an Order

Contact us via the 'Contact Us' page on this website. If your order has not been shipped or left our warehouse facility, we can process the cancellation right away. When the cancellation is confirmed, we will send you a confirmation email. Unfortunately, The Indian Superstore will not be able to cancel an order if it has already shipped out of our warehouse facility. In order to offer our customers fast delivery, most orders are released from our facility within 24 hours of the order placement.
